Here's some great winter packages for both midweek and weekends,
PLUS a "Sweet deal" for March!

Winter

Enjoy the quiet stillness of a winter day, the crunch of snow under foot, birds flitting into the feeder... Put on your skis or snowshoes and check out our nature paths and wilderness trails, or just take a walk along the road and breath the clean, crisp air.
Listen to the birds and watch for fox and deer tracks as you go.
Great ways to start your day (after a hearty breakfast, of course) before venturing out to Gore or West Mountain,
Warren County XC Trails, Pack Forest, or one of the facilities described on our Activities page.

One Sweet Weekend!  March 21-23
What is there to do in March? Of course, spring skiing can be great – warmer and longer days, sometimes even great powder when the nights get cold.
And that’s exactly what drives maple trees to produce sap!

Our Sweet Weekend starts Friday night, March 21 with a homemade maple dessert.  Saturday and Sunday, March 22 & 23, after a full breakfast (including local maple syrup!) several local "sugar-bushes" invite you to their open house, where you can see maple syrup being produced. You can do that on your way to skiing at Gore or Garnet, or forget the skiing and add a little antiquing or outlet shopping.

Price per person : $108-$119
(double occ.) for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, that maple dessert and a sweet gift to take home! (Includes tax.)
Book it NOW!  This is a popular weekend.

Gore Mountain Ski Center, the fabulous state downhill ski area, is just 30 minutes from Country Road Lodge. Enjoy short lift lines on the eight-passenger gondola or six chair lifts serving sixty-five trails on three mountains, from beginner to double-diamond expert!  See above for Midweek Ski & Stay Packages that include lift tickets.

Or ski West Mountain, a half-hour to the south, with extensive intermediate trails,  snow-making and night skiing!

Ski Cross Country, right out our door, ungroomed trails along the river on old logging roads, 15 minutes away on Warren County's XC trails or in the Charles Lathrop Pack Demonstration Forest.

YOu will find beautifully groomed, 55 kilometers of cross-country trails at Garnet Hill Ski Touring Center, the state's premier ski touring center, on a mountaintop in North River. Full facilities include rentals, ski shop, lessons, cafeteria and warm-up.

At the end of the day you will find several FINE RESTAURANTS right in Warrensburg.
In winter most restaurants operate on reduced schedules. The Merrill Magee House (623-2449),
Brunetto’s (623-1041) and George Henry's are just 10 minutes away.
Within 10 to 20 minutes are additional restaurants and fast food places.
